A number of key stakeholders in the Fehmarn Belt project presented at the Fehmarn Link Business Conference ´22, recently held in Rødbyhavn (29.09.22), with a focus on the million-euro TEM contract, which will be implemented from December this year.

Approximately 350 participants from four countries attended the conference, where they were welcomed by the chairman of Femern Belt Development, mayor Holger Schou Rasmussen and managing director of Femern Belt Development, Stig Rømer Winther.

The current status of the project

The conference offered an up-to-date status of the Femern project with presentations by technical director Jens Ole Kaslund, Femern A/S, project manager Henrik Paaske Rasmussen and Lionel Favre, Deputy Construction Manager, Femern Link Contractors, as well as Herm Pol, Deputy Project director, Fehmarn Belt Contractors.

Opportunities for subcontractors

Division manager José Manuel Olivares Villafranca, SICE-Cobra/Femern Systems Contractor, briefed the conference participants about the TEM contract, which includes the electrical and mechanical interior of the tunnel, including ventilation, lighting, instrumentation and automation processes and safety systems.

He emphasized that Femern Systems Contractor looks forward to cooperating with subcontractors on the execution of the project and invited interested companies to a collaboration on innovative solutions already in the design phase of the TEM contract.
